NTA laser beam profiler

Together with the Vesicle Observation Center of the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam and the European Metrology Research Programme METVES, Exometry developed a procedure to monitor the laser beam properties and flow cell brightness of nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) instruments. Quality control of the laser beam properties (alignment, profile and irradiance) and flow cell brightness are essential to reproducible measurements. The procedure is explained in the following movie.

We have developed an ImageJ macro that processes a printscreen of the NTA software to estimate the laser beam properties and flow cell brightness. Please note that the macro is developed for computers with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels running Nanosight NTA 2.3 build 0025. If you are using the macro, please cite J. Thromb.
